About the NYSPIA Emergency Assistance Fund, Inc.
The New York State Police Investigators Association (NYSPIA) consists of Investigators and Senior Investigators assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) in the New York State Police. NYSPIA advocates for the rights of its membership and is the official voice of the BCI membership.
NYSPIA recognized a need to provide financial assistance to its membership and their families in times of emergency and/or personal tragedy. As a result, NYSPIA established an internal fund to assist these members.
The NYSPIA Board of Directors recognized that our members were not the only ones who "PROTECT and SERVE", and that a broader approach was needed to provide assistance to all our brothers and sisters in law enforcement and their families in times of need. To meet this compelling need, the NYSPIA Board of Directors directed the creation of the NYSPIA EAF, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
As a federally recognized charity, your contributions are tax deductible.
Helping Those Who Help Others!
One of our fundamental goals is to assist law enforcement professionals along with their families during times when they face personal tragedies such as financial hardships caused by accidents, natural disasters, illness and death. Illness, injury, hospitalization, medical bills and special needs cause emotional and financial distress to the families of our service personnel. This additional emotional and financial stress on members who protect and serve can be overwhelming. The NYSPIA EAF is dedicated to relieving this stressful situation by assisting the families of our first responders with the financial help they need.
Law enforcement families in need of assistance...
The NYSPIA EAF is also dedicated to encouraging qualified individuals to both pursue and continue careers in law enforcement by providing support, financial aid, and assistance to qualified individuals and worthy programs that enhance law enforcement.
The NYSPIA EAF believes that the future of law enforcement lies in assisting those individuals who are devoted to pursuing a law enforcement career, those law enforcement individuals pursuing higher education degrees and the support of public educational programs that enhance law enforcement.
